ENERTRON standard UPS is of the type ‘on line’, made up of the following equipment:

- 6 or 12 pulses TGP Rectifier.
- DGT IGBT’s single or three phase Inverter.
- Two way static bypass.
- Manual bypass.

During regular operation the critical load is fed by the UPS, being the network as a reserve in case of a system failure.

The rectifier keeps the battery charged and at the same time feeds the inverter. The inverter supplies the load with a.c. current. In case of a grid failure, the battery feeds the inverter keeping the load fed without perturbances. Since it is an on line type UPS, the load is always fed by the inverter.

The bypass is used to switch the system to the grid in case of a UPS failure without break.
Life expectancy of these industrial UPS is higher than 20 years.
