In order to improve the process and operation of plasma torchs, ENERTRON has developed specific power supplies in collaboration with IBERDROLA. These power supplies present definitive advantages   comparing to those of the standard thyristor rectifiers.

The power supply developed permits the short circuit start up with a previously selected current that is maintained during the process no matter what the load impedance is.

In the whole range of the power supply output voltage, the low voltage and current ripple as well as the high power factors, higher than 0,95 and typical of 0,98 are maintained. These power factor values mean an almost null absorption of reactive energy.
The response times are of 50 microseconds.
