Accessibility

The pages of the www.enertron.net website have been designed and checked in keeping with Web Standards and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 drawn up by the WAI Work Group belonging to the W3C.

The purpose of these accessibility guidelines is to facilitate access to the information offered on the Internet to all citizens. The following are among the main measures that have been adopted: 

Web Standards

The language used for contents and their structure is XHTML 1.0, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) have been used to lay out elements and present them graphically. All the pages have been validated as XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2 compatible. The contents have been separated from the presentation and the functionalities, thereby allowing access to them from any type of device.

Images

All images contain a brief description through the alt attribute.

Links 

The links are sufficiently descriptive in themselves, thereby facilitating browsing from link to link. In some cases, information is complemented through a title attribute, such as when downloading a document or opening a new window.

Font Size and Elastic Design 

The website's layout has been done with relative sizes, so that the user may adapt not only the text but the website as whole to the desired size. 

If users wish to increase or diminish the viewing size, they may do so through:

• the keyboard:
  • Internet Explorer: pressing down the CTRL key and using the mouse's scroll wheel.
  • Netscape, Mozilla: ctrl + '+' keys to increase size; ctrl '-' key
• through the browser's menu: 'view' > 'font size'
• through the tools offered on the website, located next to the contents:

Browsing and Usability 

• Simplified browsing system
• NCoherent and consistent visual browsing and structure throughout the website
• Indication of location through 'breadcrumbs'
• Keyboard access to main options
• Logical browsing order through tabulator

Functionalities

Pages containing any kind of special functionality offer their contents in an accessible version. One can therefore avoid dependence on the type of user agent to access the contents.

Forms

Forms allow for logical browsing with the tabulator. Controls are associated to their corresponding tag.

Level of Accessibility 

The contents of www.enertron.net have been validated with the following automatic validation tools:
