JAEN-UNIVER PV PROJECT

CHARACTERISTICS

This 200kW PV installation is connected to the grid at the University of Jaén.

Two inverters, 2x60kW ACEF-SOLAR of ENERTRON, similar to the one in operation at the 1 Megawatt TOLEDO PV Plant, connect the PV field to the grid .This inverter handles sinusoidal currents, it does not inject harmonics into the grid, and does not require neither special harmonic filters nor reactive compensation units.

The inverter adapts automatically its dc voltage to the optimum value in terms of the solar radiation received  by the panels, so that at each moment the major electric power available is extracted from the PV panels. (Working in MPP)

A D.C. Distribution and Protection Cabinet is included  in the PCU, paying special attention to the design in order to look after the safety of the students at the University Campus.
