TOLEDO PV PROJECT

In 1993 ENERTRON is awarded with the contract  for the manufacturing of the  PCU (Power Conditioning Units) of the 1 Megawatt TOLEDO PV Plant, a THERMIE Program Demonstration Plant, being the largest PV Plant in Europe at that time.

The PCU comprised 2x450Kw ESCAR SOLAR inverters, 1x100Kw ACEF SOLAR inverter, D.C. Distribution and Protection Units, A.C. Cabinets and Transformers and Reactive Compensation and Filtering Units.

ESCAR SOLAR INVERTERS

Inverters of these series are line commutated. These inverters are very robust, reliable, and have a low cost/power ratio. By using one or more thyristor bridges these inverters are used to generate medium or high power,  usually installed together with Reactive Compensation and Filtering Units.

ACEF SOLAR INVERTERS

Inverters of these series are self commutated with IGBT´s, and are able to work connected to all types of grids, even those with a low short circuit power. By using the most modern technology of the market - DSP control, optic fiber interconnection between power and control, and self protected IGBT drivers - they generate sinusoidal currents with any phase value, being able to inject both active and reactive power either positive or negative. These current fed inverters, when used with battery energy storage, allow the batery recharging with unity power factor.
