ENERTRON was founded in 1979 for the manufacturing and marketing of Power Electronics Voltage and Frequency Converter Units for Industry.

During the first years, the company was committed to the design and manufacturing of low and medium Power UPS for industrial applications, mainly Nuclear and Thermal Power Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, etc, obtaining the Certificate of National Manufacturer and the approval of the National Security Council for the manufacturing of UPS for Nuclear Power Plants.

Power Electronics Market demands high quality products as well as the constant incorporation of new technologies and new components to the existing ones. 

These products, which have a high unitary sales price, affect strongly to the operation of large Industrial Plants, and either its malfunctioning or stop can provoke important economic losses. In this market, as in other markets where the products reliability is a priority, it is necessary to continuously incorporate to the products the new technologies and components in a constant way and without risking the quality of the final product. 

For this reason the research and development activities have been a first necessity of the company, and these activities have originated a continuous evolution of our products. In this way the appearing of new generations of Rectifiers, Inverters and UPS systems are the most significant milestones of ENERTRON.

As a result of this research effort, our R&D engineers have achieved that today ENERTRON can present to the market a series of products that have the most advanced technology for both conventional applications (UPS, Rectifiers, etc) as well as new products (Inverters for Renewable Energies -Photovoltaic, Wind Power-, Active Filters, Converters for Fuel cells, etc) for the new emerging technologies.
